Paramount tap’s Jared Hess to direct “Nicktoons”

nicktoons[1]Rejoice kids of the 90s!  Paramount has tapped Jared Hess (Napolean Dynamite, Nacho Libre) to work on Nicktoons, a crossover movie that plans to bring together the classic cartoons that Nickelodeon offered in the mid-late 90s.

What this means is we may see a movie comparable to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? or Goosebumps in which a leading character partners with the likes of characters from Rugrats, Rocko’s Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, AHH! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold! & more.  Doug, unfortunately, is still owned by ABC and will probably not be included.

Paramount and Nickelodeon Studios has a plethora of properties from their stronger period in the 1990s they can resort to.
