Last night, Vince McMahon once again showed his business genius by announcing the much awaited WWE Network.
Priced at $9.99 a month (with a 6 month commitment), WWE Network will offer a 24/7 stream of various programming that only a brand like themselves could house.
They geniously announced it live via youtube.com in order to generate interest, as well as suck in thier targeted audience. The new network will house all 12 monthly PPVs (usually priced at $44.99 each) including the upcoming Wrestlemania 30.
On top of a live stream including new programming, live talk shows, post/pre-game shows to their live events and reality TV series, every WWE, WCW and ECW PPV will be available on demand. The WWE Network will be playable through almost every device possible using the WWE App that is available through Apple’s iOS, Android, Roku devices, PS3/PS4, Xbox 360 (XB1 will be later 2014) and select smart TVs.
No matter what your opinion may be about wrestling, you can agree that WWE is pioneering on what the future of TV will be.
The WWE Network will launch on February 24th directly after RAW
